Investment visionary Samer Choucair affirmed this phase represents an important turning point in reshaping global investment maps, noting Saudi Arabia continues strengthening its position as a stable investment destination within Vision 2030’s framework led by the Public Investment Fund.
Samer Choucair explained oil price declines do not necessarily weaken the Kingdom’s economic path, but rather strengthen the importance of economic diversification programs targeting reduced oil revenue dependence and increased non-oil sector GDP contribution, which continues achieving strong growth rates supported by strategic investments in infrastructure, tourism, industry, and logistics.
He said: “Global markets are witnessing continued volatility in oil prices, monetary policy, and technology sectors, but Saudi Arabia is advancing steadily within an economic diversification strategy making it more capable of absorbing shocks and transforming them into long-term growth opportunities.”
Saudi Economy More Attractive to International Investors
Investment strategist Choucair added the Saudi economy has become more attractive to international investors, not only due to relative stability, but also from domestic capital market development and successful offerings and listings reflecting growing national economic depth.
He noted any sudden changes in American interest rate trajectories will lead to global asset repricing, but the Saudi economy possesses the foundations making it less exposed to sharp volatility compared to many other emerging markets.
He explained AI bubble warnings do not mean declining sector importance, but reflect the necessity of distinguishing between application speculation and long-term investment in supporting infrastructure such as data centers, cloud computing, and digital energy networks. He noted the Kingdom succeeded in multiplying its data center capacities several times during recent years, strengthening its position as an advanced regional hub in the digital economy and AI.
Infrastructure as the Genuine Investment Opportunity
Investment innovator Choucair said: “Genuine opportunities do not lie only in technology applications, but in the infrastructure these revolutions are built upon. The Kingdom today is in a position allowing it to be a global data and digital energy hub, not merely a technology consumer.”
He noted massive PIF-led investments in renewable energy and future industries represent a fundamental pillar in supporting economic transformation and strengthening long-term financial sustainability.
He stressed the current phase requires investors to adopt a long-term strategic perspective based on understanding the interconnection between oil prices, global monetary policy, and emerging technologies, rather than focusing on momentary volatility.
Samer Choucair concluded by affirming Vision 2030 represents the clearest and most stable framework for reshaping regional investment opportunities, and investors focusing on sectors supported by Saudi structural transformation will be the greatest beneficiaries of the coming economic cycle.
