Samer Choucair: Saudi Economy Effectively Enters “Investment Repricing” Phase Globally

Investment pioneer Samer Choucair stated that the Saudi economy’s approach to the five trillion riyals threshold does not represent just a numerical indicator in the Gross Domestic Product, but rather a clear signal of the Kingdom entering the post-oil economy phase, considering that what the Kingdom is witnessing today is a comprehensive restructuring process of the nature of the economy, as it shifted from a cyclical economy linked to energy prices to a structural economy based on diversification and sustainability.

Samer Choucair explained that the growth of the Saudi economy by a percentage exceeding seventy percent during less than fifteen years reflects an unprecedented quality in economic performance, as the non-oil sector now constitutes more than fifty percent of the real GDP.

Samer Choucair confirmed that this leap came supported by the doubling of foreign direct investment flows since 2017, in addition to the strategic expansion in vital sectors such as tourism, logistics, technology, and mining, whose wealth is estimated at nine point four trillion riyals, highlighting the volume of untapped opportunities that the Kingdom has begun to invest in effectively.

In his analysis of the current scene, Samer Choucair confirmed that the Kingdom is no longer just an emerging market, but has become a global financial and investment center, thanks to legislative reforms and qualitative initiatives such as facilitating the entry of foreign investors, the trend toward asset tokenization, and massive investment in fields of artificial intelligence and the knowledge economy.

Samer Choucair pointed out that these movements move the Saudi economy from the traditional growth phase to the “repricing” phase, where the Kingdom is evaluated today as an investment destination with high reliability and global competitiveness.

Samer Choucair stressed that investment opportunities for 2026 and beyond are distributed across basic pillars, most notably the tourism and entertainment sector, which targets one hundred and fifty million visitors by 2030, the mining sector, the alternative assets and real estate sector, in addition to artificial intelligence infrastructure.

He advised investors to adopt the “strategic calmness” rule by focusing on long-term structural sectors instead of chasing transient market noise, with the necessity of rebalancing investment portfolios in line with accelerating economic variables.

Investment pioneer Samer Choucair concluded his statement by saying that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today proves it is not just a regional market, but rather a historical investment opportunity for building wealth.

Samer Choucair confirmed that whoever understands the “language of Vision 2030” realizes perfectly that the Kingdom is redefining its economic model in a way that ensures attracting long-term capital, making investment in the Saudi economy currently the most strategic path for investors looking for sustainable returns in light of major global transformations.
